Best Watch List for Kids Today!

Teaching your kid to wear a watch early is a solid decision as a parent. Many modern parents fail to do this, and as a result, a lot of younger individuals cannot even tell time on an analog clock, and some of them do not even understand the digital option.

However, a watch teaches more than that.

Taking care of a watch teaches a child how to maintain a necessary item, and it teaches them how to use an item appropriately.

For instance, they will quickly learn how to rely on themselves to do something as simple as figure out what time it is, update the time according to battery failures and changes and other factors and generally not allow it to become damaged.

This is not to be underestimated. It can mean much more than just giving your child a timepiece.

However, choosing the right timepiece is important. This is not the same as buying a luxury watch for a responsible adult.

You are buying a kid their first timepiece. That needs to be a serious consideration, but we will get to that eventually.

For now, we are going to go over a few of the best watches you can buy with key points to look out for kids.

1. FitBit Kids Ace 3

First and foremost, if you want your child to have a smartwatch capable of a little more than just telling time, the FitBit Ace 3 is a great option.

It is designed specifically for kids, and it has the general watch features you expect, while also featuring smart features that are safe for kids to deal with.

The FitBit Ace 3 is a pricier watch compared to what you would usually spend on a younger child’s accessory, but your child will be able to do much more than just tell the time.

The FitBit Ace 3 will teach them how to read a digital or analog clock (depending on what you set it to), and they will be able to track their health parameters such as steps, heart rate, and more.

This is extremely useful for athletic children who want to maximize their performance in sports.

However, this does need to be reserved for older children. We would recommend waiting until your child is at least 13 before getting them this watch.

It is a little pricey, and younger children will likely do something that ruins it very quickly.

2. Casio G-Shock GA-700

As a disclaimer, this is not a watch you buy for a kid who does not respect his belongings yet. This is a premium option for a child you know will adore their new gift and treat it with respect.

The Casio G-Shock has adorned the wrists of everyone from America’s soldiers to the most adventurous spirits. It is a watch that anyone, child or not, can be proud to wear. No. It is not a luxury watch.

It is not a Rolex, and it does not cost a lot. It is about USD 100. However, it is a high-performance watch that can take a beating if the owner respects it even slightly.

If you buy your child this watch, they will have a companion for years to come as long as they replace the battery.

The Casio G-Shock also has numerous additional features, and its digital face is easy to read whether it is day or night.

We would not recommend buying this for a child who is not sure they will actually wear a watch.

It is slightly pricey, and while it is well worth the price, it is still a large investment if the child never bothers to wear it or explore its features.

With that being said, this watch has survived tours in Afghanistan and rock climbing adventures that many people would never attempt; yet, it is still simple enough to suit a young teen perfectly and grow with them.

3. SpaceTalk Smart Watch

The SpaceTalk smartwatch is not a watch we would recommend for all kids. It is somewhat pricey, comes with a financial commitment and is a little complex. However, it is the perfect option for some children.

If you are a parent who has an autistic child, or another child who needs you to know where they are due to some of their limitations preventing them from staying where they are supposed to be, the SpaceTalk is perfect for them.

It has a built-in GPS. You can track your child wherever they might be. For some parents, that is absolutely priceless.

SpaceTalk also features texting and SOS features, as well as general smartwatch features. So, it definitely warrants the investment in terms of quality and features.

Again, it would not be absolutely necessary for many children, but parents who need to have GPS tracking in a discreet form will definitely appreciate it.

4. Lorus

The Lorus is the perfect watch for most children. It is a digital watch that does not cost much, and it is resilient enough to handle what the average kid can throw at it.

It is water-resistant, impact resistant, and more. Beyond being able to handle a child’s behavior, it is also reasonably priced and has the basic features of a digital watch.

There is a backlight for easy reading, and a few bonus features kids are unlikely to need but will enjoy exploring if they decide to.

5. Garmin Vivofit Jr 3

This watch is known to be the best fitness watch for kids offering lots of interactive experiences. Screen wallpapers can be easily changed to preferred choices.

The watch straps can also be interchanged with the variety available on the Garmin website.

Aside from being waterproof and swim-friendly, the Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 comes with a battery built to last at least a year long.

Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 also offers parents the opportunity to schedule routines or tasks for their kids such as sleep time, brushing of teeth, watching TV and studying.

Today, only five watches have been listed in this article. However, you should not be limited as there are more options for watches for kids on the market. In all these watches, you want to look out for a good size fit for kids, durable, cheap and fun watch offer.
